Still Waiting

Nia's paperwork was moving along but now we are waiting on Eastern, the Korean adoption agency to process our file and send it to the embassy. It was sent on the 6th of February. From talking to others who are at the same stage, their files have been there since January and still have not been returned to the embassy. I know all of this is confusing if you are not familiar to the process (some days I am not sure of it all) but I am hoping that I will soon have a post titled: Paper Work Back, Visa Interview Scheduled!!

Nia's Room

Nia's room is almost done! I only have a couple of picture frames I want to get to hang on her wall. I had ordered some letters to hang over her crib and I finally got them last week. They turned out really cute! So here are some of the newest pictures. I had to include one of her closet. On another blog I read, a mom who is waiting had bought over 20 pairs of shoes for her little guy! At least I don't have that many shoes, yet!

No More Crib For Alex!

Alex is officially in a big boy bed! We were certainly hoping that we wouldn't have to convert Alex's bed this early but he was climbing in and out of the crib numerous times throughout the day. It took a little bit of transitioning (and discipline) but he now goes down for naps and bedtime without any problems.
And another HUGE achievement, no more pacifier!! Yeah! We thought he may go to high school with that thing in his mouth! Talk about being attached! His "tassi" was always close. I finally got so tired of seeing it in his mouth I cut the tip of the pacifier off. I can't remember if someone told me to try this or if I read it somewhere but it worked! When he would cry for his tassi I would hand it to him. He would look at me with a sad and confused look. I said to him, "oh no, your tassi broke!" And he eventually stopped asking for it. Yeah!! No more searching frantically at 2 in the morning for a pacifier!

The Paperwork Is On The Move Again!

More good news today! I talked with the embassy today and they have sent our file on to Korea to Eastern (the adoption agency there). I won't bore you with all of the details but we are getting closer and closer! We are continuing to pray that everything will be processed quickly and that we will get to Seoul by the end of the month.

On the home front, the weather is warm!! Sixty one degrees!! Hallelujah! We are off to ride bikes. Hope that wherever you are the sun is shining!

Ice Fishing With Daddy

Grant riding on the 4 wheeler with his buddy Gavin
I caught one!

A radar to to indicate where the fish are. Isn't this cheating?

My cute little fisherman! Luckily we had a heat wave and it was 40 degrees out so they didn't freeze too bad!

Grant and Daddy had a great time! Maybe mom will go next time? Only if it is about 40 degrees warmer!

Our Paperwork Is On The Move!

Yahoo! Another step down! I called the National Visa Center yesterday and found out that as of Jan 28th we were logged in and logged out! So what does this mean? I'm not really sure except that it means we are one step closer to going to Korea. We are still holding out to travel in February. We'll see!
