Our First Meeting With Nia!!!

I'm not even sure where to begin!! We, well, at least I was VERY nervous this morning! We ate breakfast, got a taxi and with our 12 gift bags in tow we went to see our daughter for the first time. We met Ms. Lee at the door, who is our social worker. She took us up to a little play room and told us it would be about 10 minutes before Nia and her foster parents came. So I thought, ok, I need to gather my thoughts. About 10 seconds later Mark says, "there she is!" And in came our beautiful daughter! I can't even begin to describe the moment. Only that it wad a God ordained appointment.

Nia is absolutely adorable!!!!!! We are in love!!!!!!! She is so sweet! Mrs. Jeong brought her in, put her on the floor and took off her coat. She didn't even cry! She was so happy and content and she let me and Mark hold her. She was really smiling at Mark! She liked the toys I brought for her and she played peek a boo with me. I couldn't stop staring at her! Her hair is beautiful! And her little chubba legs! She pulled up on one of the couches and started cruising!

We Made It!

Well, we made it! We are in Seoul, South Korea! The flight was very long but very good! Korean Air is amazing! I will post again tomorrow but at his point I am barely functioning. It is 10:30pm here and I have to get to sleep. We are meeting Nia at 9 AM!!! Please pray that we feel energized and well rested. Our next post will have our pictures from our meeting with Nia! We are so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put Me On A Plane!

Praises that our travel plans have been approved and we that we are leaving on Sunday, March 8th!!! Then we will be returning on the following Sunday the 15th. We will be flying into Chicago where our friends will be picking us up. From there we will be going to the Bloomington airport to meet up with you, our family and friends! (We will post at some point as to what time we anticiapte being back in Bloomington) We are so grateful to each and every one of you! We are incredibly blessed to have all of you in our lives!

Please pray for our little Nia. Her world is about to suddenly change. We have had over a year to anticipate all of this and prepare, but she has not. Everything she has known will be different. Please pray that she will have peace in her heart and feel secure with us. We love her beyond measure and I am praying that she will sense that. And also prayers for Mrs. Jeong, Nia's foster mother and her family. They have loved and cared for Nia for the past 9 months. I know that on that day when we get Nia forever, that while our hearts are rejoicing hers will be breaking. Pray that the Lord is preparing her for that day. And Mark and I as well!

TRAVEL CALL!!!!!

The words I have been waiting to hear! Travel call! Our social worker called yesterday morning at 8:00! Yeah!!!! We are off to Korea! It is hard to believe! I immediately started making calls. I have our flight arranged and on hold, until approved by the Korean agency and am waiting to hear back from a hotel broker about our hotel. I have a list about a mile long of things to do! Yesterday I did manage to get Grant and Alex completely packed. And I am almost done packing for myself. So far, so good!
